GST COLLECTION BY 6 TOP STATES IN LAST 3 YEARS – COMPARISION REPORT – just for Study purpose

Analysis-

  1. Maharashtra has consistently increased its GST collection, both in absolute numbers and as a percentage of the total GST collection.
  2. Maharashtra has maintained its dominance in GST collection
  3. Karnataka has shown a steady increase in GST collection, with its percentage contribution also gradually increasing overtaking GUJARAT after 21-22
  4. Gujarat’s percentage contribution to the total has slightly decreased over the years. Though Absolute collection has increased. Maharashtra and Karnataka is accelerating faster than in other states, while Gujarat’s relative contribution is diminishing slightly.
  5. Tamil Nadu has shown a consistent increase in both GST collection and its percentage contribution. This indicates steady economic growth in the state.
  6. Haryana has shown most impresive strong upward trend in GST collection, with its percentage contribution increasing steadily overtaking UP after 21-22 even being a small state compare to UP.
  7. Uttar Pradesh’s GST collection has increased, but its percentage contribution has remained relatively stable, suggesting that while the economy is growing, it is doing so at a pace similar to the national average.
